Conversion Rate Increase on Ecommerce

Running a website can be a great job. You choose what you want to do, you can choose what you want to sell, how you want to sell it, and how you want to promote it. But in every business there is a tricky part, and when it comes to the websites there are also a few things that might set you off. In a recent webinar, we discussed one of the best ways to run a successful website.

Follow and learn

If you want to know exactly what your customers want, you have to ask them and you have to learn about them. It is a good idea to run a survey for your website. In the survey, don’t put too many questions and don’t waste too much of your customers valuable time. Make a simple survey and ask the questions that interest you. Allow the visitors to have a say, you don’t have to do what they think is good. For example, you don’t have to follow all of the comments about your website design. But you can learn something and that can lead to making your website even better. Favor for a favor Conversion SuccessAnother thing you can do is offer memberships. Most online memberships cost a lot, with some of them reaching $20 for one whole year, and even some that reach $15 per month. So, if you want to do that for your website, pick a membership price, but offer something substantial in return. For example, you can make a little “show”, you can announce that everyone that subscribes for your website newsletter is a potential winner of a one year free membership. You can get a lot more visitors and potential customers that way.

Be consistent

Remember that you have to be on top of your game all the time. You need to know what your customers want at any given time, so be sure to ask them questions and listen carefully to what they want. Even if you don’t like what you are hearing or reading, you should know that opinions change. Do the best you can to gain their trust. And one survey a year is not enough, not when you are starting a new business – opening a new website. Be sure make at least three surveys per year, so you know which direction you are going. Don’t forget to read each and every survey.

Feedback

Make a section on your website where the visitors and the customers can leave their comments about your website. This way, you are allowing them to communicate with you. If you are selling products or services, you can also let the customers leave a review. This way, you can get a lot of positive feedback. You can also play the referral card. You can offer your customers something for free (membership, a sample of your product or something else) for every person they refer your website to. This way you will get a lot of new customers and you will involve your current ones, they will get something new, and you will have more customers. Be confident, remember that everything takes time, follow these tips, and before you know it, you will have a number of website visitors and customers that you were aiming for. Communication is the most important part, respect your customers time and the results will show. To find out more about the entire webinar, click here.
