The folks over at KISSmetrics have provided us with this great infographic on the Blueprint for a perfectly stable landing page. Now, as we all know, landing pages are one of the most important elements of any website, especially in the conversion aspect of marketing. It is the first page that visitors see, and it is the page that welcomes them into the website. Now, there are several elements that are important for a landing page to work, but it also has to be stable. You can throw in all the necessary designs, calls to action, and images. But if it isn’t stable, it will collapse on itself and scare away your potential customers. Getting the right landing page up also means making it stable.

Aside from showing us the blueprint, the infographic also features several useful insights about landing page optimization including:

  • The Main Headline
  • Data Collection
  • The Hero Shot
  • CTA (calls to action)
  • Benefits (of your product/service)
  • The Safety Net CTA

Unlike most pages, the landing page will carry most of the marketing elements of your website. But it has to be placed just right, and it has to contain just the right amount of marketing. Too much, and you can scare away your customers, too little and your visitors might get lost or confused, and get out prematurely. It is the stability of your landing page that can help spread out your marketing, while still keeping the attention of your visitors. These subtle but important factors help in the conversion optimization of your online business.
