Update Convert Insights: New Developments and Improvements
It’s been quite a while on our side and we wanted to share an update with you all. Behind the screen we have been working on many things since our last update in November. Here is a list:
Asynchronous Script
Our script of Convert Insights Optimizer now works asynchronous and that means we will load right from the moment the browser finds the script in the header without blocking any of your own scripts or content. The page will not load faster but the page will not wait for our script to finish its load and that is increasing user experience for many clients.
Infrastructure changes
Due to the immense growth in traffic we got since December 2011 we added a handful of new servers, load balancer, splitted application servers from databases and made sure client databases work faster now. In short, this means big speed improvements on the server and client side.
First party cookies
Also, Convert Insights Optimizer now gives a first party cookie to the visitor of your sites. This will improve accuracy on the statistics, and it will include users in testing that were using Safari and other browsers with third part cookie suppression. This way, not only your stats are more accurate, but also the test group is more diverse and thus provides and a better representation of your real traffic.
Team expansion and office move
We added three more team-members. Besides the founders Claudiu and Dennis you can now build on Jeroen, Raul and Stefanie. We also moved the office and are now sitting altogether in the south of Mexico near Cancun. So besides the pleasure to work with a great team from the same office we now also have the luxury to have 330 days of sunshine and the beautiful beach near the office to chill after our long workdays.
Redesign on hold but GA coming
We had a redesign of the Optimizer planned to roll out around this time. But with the focus on performance we moved that backwards. We got a way better response on out Google Analytics integration plans so we will release this integration first (March 2012). If you are interested in participating in the beta of this Google Analytics integration please let us know using support@reedge.com
